No internet, but need to register? 



Worry no more because the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has made application for voting registration easier, faster and more convenient  for Pangasinenses.

Provincial Election Supervisor Marino Salas of COMELEC Pangasinan said the mobile app aims to streamline the registration process by making the fill-up of registration forms digital.



“If you are  a resident of the 18 municipalities identified by Comelec as pilot areas , you can apply for registration using the app with no internet connection needed allowing it  to be accessible anytime, anywhere”, Salas said during the Tongtongan ed PIA Kapihan forum, Wednesday.

The mobile registration form app is downloadable by scanning the QR code on the phone screen and shareable using any file sharing application. Once installed, it will function on any smartphone with android operating system even without intent connectivity. 



The app may be accessed by pressing “get started” to select the desired type of application, then tapping “proceed”.  After putting all necessary personal information, tap the “generate QR code button,” and save the QR code to the phone gallery.



Registrants should show the QR code when they drop by theIr respective Comelec offices for biometrics.

“Itong mobile app, although with limitation, nagagamit at napapabilis ang proseso,” Salas added.



The 18 municipalities in Pangasinan implementing the mobile app are: Bolinao, Mangatarem, Urbiztondo, Basista, Labrador, Bugallon, Bayambang, Alcala, Sto Tomas, Sison, Villaiss, Asingan, Natividad, Rosales, San Nicolas, San Quintin, Sta. Maria, and the city of Urdaneta



From May 31 to July 17, the number of applications for registration utilizing mobile registration form number to 3,120 and many more are availing,  Salas added.

Another platform, this time for internet users, is the I-Rehistro online accomplishment of forms for voter registration. 



Deadline of application is on September 30, 2021.
