Laguna vax centers accepting walk-in residents

Here are Laguna vax centers accepting walk-in residents during the 3-day nat’l vax drive

The challenge is now up for the Department of Health (DOH) Region 4A and local health units across the region to vaccinate some 3 million individuals, as the three-day ‘Bayanihan Bakunahan’ vaccination drive kicks off on Monday, November 29.

In Laguna, the DOH 4A seeks to inoculate at least 604,698 residents or more than 200,000 individuals per day during the nationwide simultaneous vaccination activities.

In a bid to accommodate more residents to get inoculated against Covid-19, some local government units in Laguna allow walk-in individuals who want to get the first shot of their vaccine.

While other LGUs prefer that residents register through their online vaccination registration sites, some accommodate walk-in vaccinees in order to boost the number of people vaccinated against the disease.

San Pedro City
In San Pedro City, residents do not need to wait for a text message or confirmation of appointment, as all of its vaccination sites will be accepting walk-in individuals from the eligible adult and pediatric population, according to the San Pedro City government.

Biñan City
Biñan City Mayor Arman Dimaguila said the city’s vaccination site at the Alonte Sports Arena would be accomodating walk-in individuals from the adult population and the pediatric population (12 to 17 years old) from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Its mobile vaccination clinic called ‘Vax on Wheels’ will be stationed at Brgy. Langkiwa, Santo Tomas, and Poblacion to vaccinate more residents during the three-day vaccination drive.

Santa Rosa City
The city government of Santa Rosa will also accommodate walk-in individuals. Residents, however, are still encouraged to register at the Santa Rosa Vaccination Portal to hasten the verification process and health screening during the vaccination day.

Once registered, residents don’t need to wait for a text message or confirmation of an appointment. The city government said they can visit any vaccination center that accommodates their priority group.

To encourage more residents to participate in the Bayanihan Bakunahan, Santa Rosa offers free transportation going to the vaccination site. Residents who want to avail the free shuttle may coordinate with their barangay officials.

Los Baños
Walk-in residents are also allowed in the Municipality of Los Baños. However, to avoid overcrowding or influx of people, walk-in individuals may only line up in designated vaccination hubs from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, depending on the schedule of their barangay.

The municipal government said members of the adult population (18 years old and above) may get their Covid-19 vaccine in its vaccination hub located at the Los Baños Multipurpose Center while the eligible members of the pediatric population will have their shot of the vaccine at the Copeland Gymnasium inside the University of the Philippines Los Baños.

Pagsanjan
The Pagsanjan Rural Health Unit said it will be opening 300 slots for walk-in residents on Monday for eligible members of category A1 to A5 population.

The nationwide simultaneous vaccination activities dubbed ‘Bayanihan Bakunahan’ seeks to boost the vaccination efforts of the government to achieve population protection before the year ends.

In Calabarzon, data show that only 45-percent of the target population or 5,125,920 are fully vaccinated against the disease while more than 4.4 million individuals remain unvaccinated, according to the DOH 4-A. — FC, PIA Laguna (with reports from LGUs)
