Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Art Tugade, along with Land Transportation Office-Philippines (LTO) Chief Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante recently led the inauguration of the modern, state-of-the-art, and new Road Safety Interactive Center at LTO Main Central Office in Quezon City.

Inside the Road Safety Inter-Active Center are driving simulators with video arcade-like equipment that the public can try out to help practice one's driving.

These realistic simulators use virtual reality for various types of modes of transportation such as 4-wheeled cars (manual and automatic) and motorcycles.

There are also trivia games that the public can try to learn various road safety knowledge and become familiar with road signs, warnings and regulatory signages.

The Road Safety Interactive Center is also expected to be popular with all ages because it also has a 4D mini theater where everyone can watch informative videos such as child safety, teen driving, older drivers, pedestrian safety, vehicle theft preventions and types of public utility vehicles.

In total, the Road Safety Inter-Active Center has ten (10) stations:

Station 1: LTO Historical Timeline
Station 2: LTO Artifacts
Station 3: Road Safety Campaign
Station 4: Edutainment Kiosk
Station 5: Road Safety Inter-active Games
Station 6: Virtual Roadality
Station 7: LTO Online Mock Exam
Station 8: Driving Simulators
Station 9: Life Size Road Accident Diorama
Station 10: 4D Mini Theater

All of this was developed and completed under the leadership of Secretary Tugade and Asec. Galvante, in line with the Duterte administration's aim to make the country's transportation service more convenient, safe and efficient for the public by continuously promoting digitization.

The center will be opening to the public soon. (PIA-NCR)
