“Gising na gising na ang mga residente sa bayan ng Conner sa panlilinlang, karahasan at pagiging abusado ng teroristang CPP-NPA-NDF at ang mga organizsasyong sumusuporta rito. Wala nang lugar and mga teroristang grupo sa aming bayan (The people of Conner are now aware of the the deceptions, atrocities and abuses of the terrorists group CPP-NPA-NDF, and the organizations supporting their causes and these terrorists groups have no place in our municipality), Dangoy said.
In Kabugao, villagers in Barangay Maragat, one of the considered most isolated and remote area in Apayao, finally made their stand with the government over the CPP-NPA.
Residents and community members in Maragat and other sectors led by Mayor Bensmar Ligwang held solidarity march and conducted an indignation rally against the deception, atrocities and abuses of the CTGs in the said barangay.
They carried placards and tarpaulins condemning the atrocities and deceptions of the CTGs and their allied organizations as they walked in their respective areas. They also burned flags of the CTGs and effigies
In the Barangay Allangigan in Conner, the barangay officials signed the Resolution declaring the CTGs and their affiliated organizations as persona -non grata in the barangay while the residents signed the Covenant of Support to the government’s campaign on ending the local communist armed conflict.
