AgNor LGU continues augmentation for COVID-19 affected families

BUTUAN CITY -- Families in the municipality of Buenavista in Agusan del Norte that have been exposed to a COVID-19-infected family member continue to receive financial aid from the local government.

This, as reported by Municipal Mayor Amy Pagaspas during her interview with Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Sec. Martin Andanar for the Network Briefing News on Tuesday, June 29.

The local government unit allotted half a million pesos to augment affected families. Each family will receive P5,000 cash aid while the infected family member that is in isolation will be given free meals in the duration of their isolation period.

Meanwhile, another isolation center is now being constructed in the municipality.

Additional assistance is also extended to indigent residents through the No Balance Billing policy implemented by the local government.

We have been helping our constituents who belong to the poor through the No Balance Billing in hospitalizations since 2013. The LGU pays the full bill,” Mayor Pagaspas said.

As of June 28, 2021, the municipality has a total of 648 COVID-19 confirmed cases, 50 of which are active, 588 have recovered, and ten have died. (DMNR/PIA-Caraga)
