Taguig gets 6K doses of Moderna vax

Priority jabs given to senior citizens, OFWs on rollout

PARAÑAQUE CITY, (PIA) -- Taguig City has acquired 6,000 doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine from the National Government that were administered to 3,000 vaccinees in the city.

Senior citizens and outbound Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) were prioritized during the first day of its rollout.

Vaccine recipients in Metro Manila were finally offered Moderna’s COVID-19 jab for the first time after local government units rolled out the American-made doses on Wednesday, June 30.

As of June 29, 246,709 individuals from A1, A2, A3, and A4 categories have already vaccinated against COVID-19.

To boost its vaccination rollout program, Taguig City will continue its close coordination with the national government.

The city government encourages its citizens to register at the Taguig Registry for Access and Citizen Engagement (TRACE) and get scheduled for vaccination at the soonest possible time. (Taguig PIO/PIA-NCR)
