MAMBAJAO, Camiguin (PIA)—To prevent the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 and possible surge of local cases, the Municipal Government of Mambajao issued the Executive Order No. 12 Series of 2021 or the order declaring certain areas in Barangay Poblacion, here, under localized lockdown and focused containment or enhanced community quarantine.

Mambajao Municipal Health Office (MHO) has recorded one confirmed COVID-19 case in Burgos St., Poblacion, here.

“All persons within the area are strictly restricted for a period of 14 days starting midnight of June 29 until July 13, 2021,” Mambajao Mayor Yñigo Jesus Romualdo said.

The local government also implements the Zoning Containment Strategy (ZCS) of which Burgos St., Poblacion, is placed under critical zone or under Enhanced Community Quarantine.

The containment zone includes the entire sitios of Lower Poblacion, Lagundi, Baybay Interior, Tapon, and Portion of Lumad, Lakas and Balintawak to be placed under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine.

Under the buffer zone are the residential houses, building, business establishments, puroks, and zones within 500-meter radius around the containment zone, to be placed under General Community Quarantine.

Areas outside the buffer zone include all residential houses, building, business establishments, purok, and zones within 500-meter radius around the buffer zone to be placed under Modified General Community Quarantine.

To ensure a seamless integration and effective implementation of the necessary measures, the Coordinated Operations to Defeat Epidemic (CODE) Approach, including the case investigation, contact tracing, quarantine, managing of cases, and reintegration activities, along with the intensification of the COVID-19 Disease Surveillance, shall be implemented, the mayor added.
