DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, July 6 (PIA) --The Dumaguete City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has reported that the number of active COVID-19 cases dropped to150 following the recovery of 40 patients, with only one new confirmed case on July 5.
According to City Health Officer Dr. Sarah Talla, 21 of the 30 barangays are managing between 0-9 active COVID-19 cases while 9 barangays have 10-34 active cases.
She said three barangays, namely, Balugo, Poblacion 2 and Poblacion 5, have registered zero COVID-19 active cases, while 22 barangays are managing between 1-9 active COVID cases only.
The lone newly confirmed COVID-19 case is a resident of Brgy. Taclobo.
From Jan. 30 to July 5, a total of 150 active COVID-19 cases have been recorded with 2,353 recoveries and 66 deaths.
Meanwhile, the 40 new COVID-19 recoveries are residents of the following barangays: Bagacay (5); Bajumpandan (3); Balugo (2); Banilad (1); Batinguel (12); Buñao (1); Cadawinonan (2); Calindagan (3); Candau-ay (3); Daro (1); Junob (1); Mangnao (1); Motong (1); Piapi (1); and Taclobo (1).
