CALAMBA CITY, Laguna  (PIA) --Department of Health Secretary Francisco Duque III recently led the ceremonial vaccination ceremonies in Plaza Elena and Pook Elementary School, Agoncillo, Batangas which also serve as evacuation sites.

“Alam naman po ninyo napakahalaga ang proteksyong taglay ng bakuna na inangkat po ng inyo pong pamahalaang nasyonal at malaking pondo po ang ginamit para siguraduhing na ang mga bakunang ito ay libre. Ang mga bakunang ito ay ligtas at tanging epektibo laban sa COVID-19.” said Sec. Duque.

(You all know the importance of the protection provided by the vaccines the national government procured and a large amount of funds were used to ensure that they would be for free. These vaccines are safe and effective against COVID-19.)

Sec. Duque stressed the importance of the vaccine against COVID-19. Everyone at the evacuation site who has not been vaccinated is also encouraged to get vaccinated for their protection.

Agoncillo Mayor Daniel Reyes also received his first dose of the vaccine administered by Sec. Duque.

Sec. Duque also thanked all vaccinators including doctors, nurses and volunteers who helped to carry out this program held last July 5. (MBL/PIA4A)
