DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, July 6 (PIA) -- The Dumaguete City government lauded the valuable assistance of volunteer doctors and nurses as more than 10,000 residents have already been jabbed with COVID-19 vaccines.
The City Health Office (CHO) started vaccinating those belonging to priority group A4, frontline personnel in essential sectors, including uniformed personnel since July 2, as the immunization for those under the A1, A2, and A3 categories continues.
This is in response to the directive of Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo to accelerate the vaccination rollout with the arrival of 10,000 more vials of Sinovac from the national government.
Dr. Sarah Talla of CHO reminded those under A4 to register online thru this link: https://bit.ly/3tVcATY or fill up the forms endorsed to the barangay health workers so that names will be included in the masterlist for vaccination.
Those covered by the A1, A2, A3, and A4 categories who have already registered are advised to wait for the call or notification from the City Health Office confirming their schedule and place of vaccination.
Remollo also expressed his appreciation to members of the Philippine National Red Cross Negros Oriental Chapter and Sangguniang Kabataan for volunteering to provide the needed manpower requirement to fasttrack the vaccination of more eligible residents. (JCT/PIA Negros Oriental)
