PASIG CITY, (PIA) -- The Marikina City Government has encountered some delays in the delivery of "Component II of Sputnik V vaccines."
“Please be advised that the DOH delivery of the second component of Sputnik V vaccines has been DELAYED,” the Marikina City announced.
The city government said the second dose vaccination for Gamaleya Sputnik V scheduled for today (July 12) is likewise postponed, as per advisory from the National COVID-19 Vaccination Operations Center.
It said the National Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC) has advised the city to "prioritize the administration of second dose of Sinovac vaccines for the next two weeks or until the supply stabilizes.
The NVOC also told the city to "immediately utilie the intended first dose of other COVID-19 vaccines such as Moderna or Pfizer."
Likewise, the city government said that it will provide immediate announcement of the rescheduling once Sputnik V second dose vaccines have been received from the Department of Health.
