PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan, (PIA) -- The City Community Affairs and Development Unit (CCADU) of the Puerto Princesa City Police Office led by CCADU Chief PLTCOL Benigno C. Conde conducted a tree planting activity on July 13 at Mauricio Reynoso Memorial Elementary. School, Barangay Bancao-Bancao, Puerto Princesa City.
This is part of the 26th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month Celebration of the Philippine National Police (PNP) this July with the theme 'Police and Community, BARANGAYanihan in the challenge of pandemic and against crime'.
The activity aims to reduce greenhouse gasses, combat climate change and improve the quality of the natural environment.
"This is inline with the advocacy of the PNP as an environmentalist to save, and help to preserve our environment," said CCADU Chief PLTCOL Benigno C. Conde.
Teachers of the said school and barangay officials of Barangay Bancao-Bancao were accompanied by the police officers in planting seedlings of various types of trees. (MCE/PIA Mimaropa)
