Less than 1% had side effects after vaccination -FDA

CALOOCAN CITY, (PIA) -- The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said that less than 1% of persons experienced adverse effects after COVID-19 vaccination.

“Ayon sa ating adverse events reporting system, less than 1% ang nagreport na nakaramdam ng adverse events after the vaccination at karamihan dito ay very mild,” FDA Director General USec. Eric Domingo said in Laging Handa Press Briefing, Wednesday.

Domingo said most of the reported COVID-19 vaccine side effects are only mild cases.

He also clarified that there is no evidence yet stating that drinking alcohol can result to lower vaccine efficacy.

The first 24 to 48 hours after vaccination is important in identifying the side effects experienced by the vaccine recipients.

FDA reminded the public to ensure healthy state after the COVID-19 vaccination to avoid too much vaccine side effects. FDA/PIA-NCR
