On the road to mass protection as more vaccines arrive

QUEZON CITY  --With the expected arrival of several vaccine doses in the country, the total vaccines administered this week is targeted at 15M, said Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque during the July 14 press briefing after noting that the country recorded its highest daily jabs at 375,059 on July 13.

The Secretary said that one million doses of Sinovac  arrived on Wednesday, while there are 250,800 more doses of Moderna vaccines shipped on Thursday -- wherein 194,400 doses of the latter brand are for the Philippine government, while 56,400 doses are for the private sector.

Likewise, the Astra Zeneca vaccines are expected this week, and also for distribution to the LGUs after final checking and inspection of shipments.  (MCG/PIA-IDPD/OPS/PCOO)
