DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, July 15 (PIA) -- The Department of Health (DOH) here has confirmed the arrival of two brands of vaccines (Astra Zeneca and Pfizer) on July 15 for distribution to different vaccination areas in the province.
DOH Provincial Officer Dr. Socrates Villamor said these vaccines will be administered to those who already received their first dose eight weeks or 20 days ago.
In Dumaguete City, a number of residents are expected to get their second dose of the said vaccines.
As of July 14, the city has vaccinated about 14,728 qualified residents including 471 who received their first or second doses of Sinovac.
Of the 14,728 eligible residents vaccinated, 1,852 are medical frontliners or (A1); 5,837 senior citizens (A2); 3,790 persons with co-morbidities (A3); and 3,249 frontline personnel (A4) were inoculated by the City Health Office based on the order of priority of DOH. (JCT/PIA7 Negros Oriental)
