BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) in the province recently gave assistance to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) here.

Dr. Rowena Billedo, president of the Independent Kabalikat Civicom said 400 COVID-19 health and hygiene kits were given to 400 PDL of the Provincial Jail in this town and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Solano town.

"This is part of our joint outreach program in partnership with other NGOs and benevolent individulas in the province to help our PDL especially in this time of COVID-19 pandemic," she said.

She said the assistance has been donated and raised in partnership with the Nueva Vizcaya-Ifugao Dental Chapter (NVIDC), Secular Franciscans Order (SFO), St. Francis Missions (SFM), SFIC Sisters.

Billedo also acknowledged the assistance of Dr. Karen Cecille Tiongson-Tambuyat, Dr. Roderick B. Tambuyat, Vince Tambuyat, Dr. Laxmi Valido Casumpang, Norman Alonzo and other benevolent individuals for the outreach program.(MDCT/BME/PIA Nueva Vizcaya)
