QUEZON CITY -- The National Covid-19 Vaccination Operations Center has issued interim guidelines for travelers on July 16, 2021.
The Advisory states all outbound travelers who are fully vaccinated in the Philippines and traveling to a country that requires vaccination proof may apply for an International Certificate of Vaccination (ICV) or “Yellow Card” with the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ).
BOQ issues certificates beginning July 15, 2021. However, not all destination countries require a vaccination certificate, said an advisory signed by Health Undersecretary Myrna C. Cabotaje.
Inbound travelers who have been fully vaccinated in the Philippines need to present upon arrival to a local destination any of the following proof:
- Vaccination cards issued by the local government unit or hospital,
- LGU-issued vaccine certificates, or
- BOQ-issued ICV
Meanwhile, inbound travelers who are fully vaccinated outside the Philippines should show their vaccination card or the ICV issued by other countries upon arrival.
NTF-COVID-19 Advisory No. 55-A is effective until the Philippine Digital Vaccine Certificate System portal becomes available.
