MANILA, (PIA) -- Mayor Francis Zamora on Monday extended his sincerest gratitude to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for recognizing San Juan City's vaccination program during his 6th and last State of the Nation Address (SONA).
"I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to President Rodrido Duterte for recognizing San Juan's vaccination program during his State Of The Nation Address," Mayor Francis said.
"It means a lot to each and every San Juaneño especially to our medical and non medical frontliners and volunteers involved in our daily vaccination program. Your kind words Mr. President further inspire us to reach our goal of fully vaccinating 70% of our population by the end of August and in fact go beyond this by targeting to vaccinate 100% of our population qualified based on age and health status before the year ends," Zamora added.
He said President Duterte again congratulated San Juan for a job well done with regard to the city's vaccination program.
"I thanked the President for his support for San Juan not just in terms of vaccination but also in our over all COVID-19 response and interventions," he added.
The mayor also recognized the medical, healthcare, and fronline workers who worked tirelessly to keep the COVID-19 pandemic in check.
"To all the very hard working members of our San Juan vaccination team, maraming salamat po sa inyong dedikasyon at sakripisyo! Mabuhay po kayong lahat!" he said. (PIA-NCR)
