PASIG CITY, (PIA) -- Pateros has vaccinated over 64,000 individuals in Metro Manila's lone municipality.

According to the municipal government, a total of 64,567 received the vaccine against COVID-19 as of July 26, 2021.

From the total number, 39,603 individuals or 80.82 percent (8.82%) received their first dose while 24,964 are fully vaccinated or 50.95 percent (50.95%).

Pateros has an estimated population of 70,000, wherein total eligible population is at 49,000, or 70 percent (70%) of the estimated population.

Pateros Mayor Miguel “Ike” Ponce III earlier announced that the municipal government has received 800 doses of Johnson & Johnson’s single dose Janssen COVID-19 vaccine from the national government.

He said the vaccines will be used solely for senior citizens in three vaccination sites. The vaccination using the Janssen brand will be open for walk-in senior citizens in the municipality. (Pateros/PIA-NCR)
