QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- President Rodrigo Roa Duterte lauded San Juan City for its vaccination rollout during the President’s sixth State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City Monday afternoon.

“San Juan City for one, has vaccinated 70% of their population in a months’ time. Saludo ako sa inyo at kay Mayor Zamora,” said Duterte.

The President reported that the Philippines received over 30 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

“We expect to at least receive 36 million vaccines this month and in August, we have inoculated more than seven (7) million Filipinos, which have received the first dose.”

Meanwhile, San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora thanked Pres. Duterte for recognizing the city’s efforts for the vaccination program.

Zamora also thanked and congratulated the city’s vaccination team members for their dedication.

“Sa ating mga minamahal na San Juan vaccination team members, ang pagkilala ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa ating programa sa pagbabakuna ay dahil sa inyong pagsusumikap, dedikasyon at sakripisyo! Saludo po ako sa inyo, mga Makabagong Bayani ng Lungsod ng San Juan!” (PIA-NCR)
