QUEZON CITY (PIA) -- Nesthy Petecio, the Philippine representative to the Women’s Featherweight (57 kg.) Boxing Finals Match has secured the silver medal for the country at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

She is the first Filipino female boxer to win a medal in the said international sports competition.

She dedicates the victory to her family, especially to her father; to the country; and to his best friend.

This is the second medal won by the Philippines in the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
