QUEZON CITY (PIA) -- Amidst the pandemic woes and the worldwide tourism slump, Palawan remains in the top list of the Best Island in the World.
The latest citation was given by Big7Travel which used aggregated scores from previous media results, and contributions from the Big 7 Travel editorial team to come up with the list of 50 Best Island in the World.
The spotlight for Palawan rested on El Nido, citing its Secret Lagoon, the limestone cliffs, the untouched and white sandy beaches of the cluster of islets.
Palawan is second to the sleepy, scenic Lummi Island in Washington in the Unites States.
The island of Cebu placed 25th in the list, calling it a tropical paradise of sugar-white beaches, hot springs and jungle waterfalls.
