SAN JOSE, Antique (PIA) - -  Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will conduct the 2021 Listing of Marine Fish Landing Centers (LMFLC) last September in Antique and in other provinces in the country that are engaged in marine fishing.

PSA-Antique Officer-In-Charge Randy M. Tacogdoy, in a press release, said the activity hoped to generate an updated list of marine fish landing centers for the whole country and to come up with reliable and up-to-date sampling frame for commercial and municipal fisheries surveys.

With this, Tacogdoy thanked all officials of the landing centers, fisherfolks, boat owner/operator, officer/member of the fisherfolk organization and trader/broker at the fish landing centers in the province who supported the event by providing the information needed.

Also included in the listing are the traditional landing centers that operate within the shoreline where the fish catch is unloaded and traded without any regulatory or managing administration.

Data items collected in the listing are the official name of the landing center and its category, type, and status with an average daily unloading during peak and lean months and months where the unloading of fishes is either lean or peak.
