Some of the moves employed by the LGU to protect and help Kalibonhon businessmen even at the time when cases of COVID-19 in Kalibo were at their highest, was to sustain business activities even during Sundays after conferring with business establishments owners at the Kalibo Shopping Center, Kalibo Public Market and with tricycle drivers.
At the presentation, Lachica also vocalized his appreciation to Aklanons who fully cooperated by strictly following imposed minimum health protocols, as well as abiding by his executive order allowing only 15 residents from other Aklan municipalities daily when Aklan was placed under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ), which caused cases of COVID-19 in Kalibo to gradually decrease.
