CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) -- Farmers and fisherfolks of the municipalities of Bansud and Bongabong received recently farm inputs and fishing equipment for the production of agricultural farms as well as in making fishing completely easy for those engaged in the fishing industry.
Gov. Humerlito A. Dolor led the distribution of 187 fishing equipment, 39 uniforms for the ‘Bantay-Dagat’ personnel and 10 flashlights for fishermen of the said municipalities.
Meanwhile 31 beneficiaries received cash assistance from Senator Bong Go as a response to Gov. Dolor’s request to help Mindoreños especially those who were affected by calamities such as typhoons and floods in the past years.
The governor also distributed some 800 bags of fertilizers for the fruit growers and other farmers in the town of Bansud.
