NV fratmen plant trees

BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - At least 500 tree seedlings of various species have been planted here by members of the Alpha Phi Omega International Service Fraternity and Sorority (APOISFS).

Charlie Tabalbag, APO Theta Epsilon Chapter Alumni Association (TECAA) president said the tree planting, conducted over the weekend at the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) Eco-Hill in barangay San Fernando in this town is part of the National Tree Planting Day by APO.

“This is our support to the call for nationwide tree planting activities by our national leadership in support of the national government’s National Greening Program (NGP),” he said.


Tabalbag also thanked the Department of Environment and Natural Resources(DENR) for providing planting materials for the activity.

The tree planting activity has been adopted by the APO TEAA as part of their yearly calendar of activities to help in the multi-sectoral efforts to various greening initiatives. (MDCT/BME/PIA Nueva Vizcaya)
