CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - The Local Chief Executive of this province has assured benefits for the 8 Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) members who recently decided to surrender to the folds of law.
Isabela Gov. Rodolfo Albano made the assurance when the eight former rebels were presented to the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) officials at Balai, Capitol Compound, City of Ilagan on December 7.
Albano said the provincial government will be giving assistance to the CTGs aside from the benefit they will be getting under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-Clip) to ensure their productive return to their community.
“The Provincial Government will be giving you livelihood and other assistance aside from the benefit you will get under the E-CLIP,” Albano said.
He said Vice Gov. Faustino G. Dy III and other officials of the provincial government are supporting the government's call for CTG members to surrender.
The eight CTGs have surrendered to the security forces under the 5th Infantry Division, Philippine Army (5ID, PA) and the Isabela Police Provincial Office (IPPO) with 13 high-powered firearms and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). (BME/MGE/PIA Isabela)
