BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - A P6.6 million-worth building of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) will be constructed in this town.
The two-storey office building of the Provincial Environmental Management Unit (PEMU) of the DENR’s - Environment Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) will be constructed inside the compound of the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) here.
Former Governor Ruth Padilla, acting Officer-In-Charge of the NVSU said the PEMU building project will be built through a usufruct agreement between DENR-EMB and NVSU.
“This is another development project in our province wherein the services of our DENR-EMB-PEMU will benefit our fellow Novo Vizcayanos more,” she said.
The recent groundbreaking and signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the PEMU building project was attended by DENR-EMB Regional Director Nelson Honrado, PEMU-NV Chief Steve Bisquera, OIC Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer Engr. Giovannie Magat and NVSU officials.
PEMU enforces laws and regulations on clean water, air and proper management of solid/hazardous waste, among others. (BME/PIA Nueva Vizcaya)
