ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--As part of the community outreach program in Dulag Elementary School (ES) here, the Rotary Club of Iligan Maria Cristina and Acelo C. Badelles Sr. Memorial High School (ABSMHS) spearheaded a seed bombing activity.

More than 200 madang and langka seed bombs were thrown in the vicinities of the said school.  

ABSMHS school principal Rose Marie Ann Saavedra said they have learned seed bombing through India’s Interact club. 

“This technology was learned by us through India’s Interact club. They taught how to make this through virtual. We had this in our school sa among actual na paghimo [we created this] and we have this tested,” she said. 

Saadvedra said in India, the seed growth rate of seed bombs is 60% but for a tropical country like the Philippines, the growth rate is 70% to 80%. 

Joining the said activity were Rotaract Iligan Maria Cristina, Interact Club Iligan Maria Cristina, 55th Engineer Brigade (55th EBde), among others. (LELA/ PIA Iligan)
