PNP launches ‘Kasimbayanan’ in Bukidnon for peaceful polls

MALAYBALAY CITY (PIA)—As the country gears up for May 2022 elections, the Bukidnon Police Provincial Office recently joined in the simultaneous launching of “Kasimbayanan (Kawani, Simbahan, at Pamayanan)” at Camp Ramon Onahon, Malaybalay City.

Bukidnon Police Director Col. Jun Mark Lagare said this is the time to systematize the action-oriented efforts of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in collaboration with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Commission on Elections (COMELEC), Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), National Citizens’ Movement for Free Elections (NAMFREL), and Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), among other community leaders to work assiduously.

In speech, the police director instilled in each and every member of the Bukidnon police force to give passionate commitment to the team's cause because the PNP he said are adept at peacekeeping and law enforcement.

“We launch this ‘Kasimbayanan’ to exemplify that teamwork helps the government achieve our common goal of Secure, Accurate, Free and Fair Elections (S.A.F.E) 2022. Let us ensure that this platform for participatory governance will be adopted and sent down to the lowest field unit of stations so that all Filipinos, including our partners, will perform professionally for the upcoming 2022 Elections," Lagare said.

As the PNP ramps up its fight against illegal drugs and other forms of criminality, it also intensifies its efforts to ensure that all threats for May 2022 elections are monitored and averted in order to accomplish Kasimbayanan’s SAFE 2022 mission, he added. (RLRB/PIA-10/Bukidnon)
