MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--An official of the City Health Office (CHO) here reiterated that the vaccine against coronavirus disease (Covid-19) is safe for children 5-11 years old.

"This vaccine is safe as the Food and Drugs Administration has given an emergency use authorization (EUA) to the vaccines especially itong [this] Pfizer na nabigyan ng EUA na [which has EUA that it is] safe for children," said Dr. Khadafi Mapandi.

Although parents are not compelled to submit their kids to vaccination, Mapandi emphasized that the vaccine can protect them against the said illness.
