ESPPO launches ‘KASIMBAYANAN’ in E. Samar

BORONGAN CITY (PIA) -- The Eastern Samar Police Provincial Office launched KASIMABAYANAN (Kawani, Simbahan at Pamayanan) on February 18 at the Camp Asidillo, this city.

The event aims to promote a Secure, Accurate, Free and Fair Elections (S.A.F.E) in May.

KASIMBAYANAN is a joint effort of the Philippine National Police (PNP) with partners from the Church and the community.

Religious leaders from the interfaith circle and other guests from the Comelec, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Army, Lingkod Bayan Advocacy Group Members, DILG, and Fr. James Abella of the Diocese Social Action Center shared their messages to usher a fair and and responsible voting.

After which, a lighting of candles and pinning of SAFE pins took place.

But the most important part of the activity was the Manifesto signing. The Manifesto signing calls to unite the KASIMBAYANAN partners to serve and protect the interest of the Filipino people and the country as it looks forward to the upcoming elections.

The KASIMBAYANAN activity ended by giving Certificate of Appreciation and singing the PNP Hymn. (LDL/DTL)
