Duterte Legacy caravan in Ifugao serves 500

LAGAWE, Ifugao(PIA) - - More than 500 individuals availed  of the services of the Duterte Legacy Caravan held at the public plaza here last week as part of the whole of nation approach of  bringing government services closer to the people and  in attaining inclusive and sustainable peace. 


The Ifugao Police Provincial Office (IPPO) reported that about 510 people mostly from Lagawe were served during the one-day activity. People from Hungduan, Hingyon and Kiangan were also invited during the outreach activity.


Various agencies established their respective booths or assistance desk showcasing their services to the attendees. Services offered included medical mission, COVID-19 vaccination, free haircut,   legal services, national ID registration, bio-metric scholarship registration, and chainsaw registration and information campaign.


 These services were provided by the IPPO, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Philippine Statistics Authority, Dept.  of Public Works and Highways, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Bureau of Fire Protection, Provincial Local Government, Technical Education Skills Development Authority, and Philippine Information Agency.


Other agencies include Land Transportation Office, Dept. of Environment and Natural Resources, Dept. of Health, Dept. of Education, Dept. of Social Welfare and Development, Red Cross, PhilHealth, Social Security System.


Also joining the caravan were  Pagtutulungan sa Kkinabukasan: Ikaw, Bangko, Industriya at Gobyerno, and Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo members.

Retired Army Brigadier General Ramon Yogyog, the guest of honor and speaker, underscored the importance of unity and collaboration of all government agencies in providing the needed quality service to the people.


 IPPO Director Colonel James Mangili lauded the participating agencies that showcased their commitment in bringing the needed services to the community.


The caravan with the theme “Pagkakaisa ng Mamamayan tungo sa Pagbangon, Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran,” was led by the IPPO. (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
