BANAUE, Ifugao(PIA) --A monitoring team for Rice Terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras as a UNESCO World Heritage Site visited the Ifugao Rice Terraces(IRT) World Heritage Sites for a site inspection and consultations with its stakeholders.
Visited during the five-day site inspection are the Nagacadan Rice Terraces in Kiangan, the Hungduan Rice Terraces, the Central Mayoyao Rice Terraces and the Bangaan and Batad Rice Terraces in Banaue.
The site inspection concluded with a workshop for SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis and processing of consultation findings with the monitoring team and the different stakeholders at Banaue Hotel.
The activity intends to encourage the IRT stakeholders to comply with the World Heritage Committee Decision 44 COM 7B.36.
The team is expected to submit an updated report on the state of conservation of the Ifugao Rice Terraces and implementation of the decisions to the World Heritage Center on December 1, 2022.

Manalo, Commissioner of UNACOM (Sub-commission for Cultural Heritage); Dr. Raymundo D. Rovillos, Professor of History – University of the Philippines Baguio; Ms. Linda Claire I.
