QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The Commission on Elections (Comelec) once again reminds all candidates who participated in the recent national and local elections to submit their respective Statements of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE) by June 8, 2022. 

According to Comelec Acting Spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco, candidates who withdrew their candidacy and political parties will still have to submit their expenses as well as the contribution they received during the campaign period. 

He said the winners who do not submit their SOCEs are prohibited from sitting in their seats until they file them. 

Laudiangco added that those who fail to submit their SOCE a second time will be subject to perpetual disqualification to hold public office. 

He also warned candidates who exceeded their campaign spending limits that they face possible election offense cases. (PIA-NCR)
