More than 180K PUV operators, drivers receive fuel subsidy

CALOOCAN CITY, (PIA) -- More than 180,000 public utility vehicle (PUV) operators have already received fuel subsidy from the government.

According to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), the said number will be further increased due to their continuing distribution of fuel subsidy.

In March, more than 377,000 qualified PUV drivers and operators were listed by the agency as receiving the subsidy.

The said subsidy is a way for the government to help PUV Operators and drivers who are have been affected due to the continuous increase in oil prices. (PIA-NCR)
