MANILA, (PIA) -- The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines has announced the re-raising of the Yellow Alert on the Luzon Grid starting at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21.

This has been linked to the thinning of the power supply due to the unexpected loss of supply from seven power plants.

As a result, up to 1,592 megawatts were lost from today’s expected power supply.

According to the NGCP, up to 11,385 megawatts are needed but only 12,251 megawatts are available.

The Yellow Alert will last until this afternoon, at 4 p.m.

However, no power interruption is expected under the Yellow Alert. (PIA-NCR)
