TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite (PIA) – The Cavite provincial government through the Office of the Governor– Extension recently rolled out its Botika on Wheels program on June 17.
Around 1,199 senior citizens and 1,395 children in Paliparan, Crossing, Tabing Ilog, Carissa Homes Subdivision, Camit Compound, Square Subdivision, Picache Compound, Tiera Bonita, Beberino Compound, Dimaranan Compound, Terra Alta Homes, Nia Road, Nasta Jie, Vina Compound, Sarita, DRV, Kanluran, Martinez and Tondo benefitted from the door-to-door distribution of free medical supplies including essential medicines, maintenance medicines, vitamins and insect repellant in Barangay Paliparan I.
The Botika on Wheels team was accompanied by barangay health workers and police in going around the community to deliver the basic medical supplies to the recipients
Said program was launched in June 2020 as a response to the basic medical needs and health care services of Caviteños during the community quarantine period the citizens were not allowed to leave their home and residences. (Ruel Francisco/with reports from PICAD)
