QUEZON CITY (PIA) -- Tropical Depression Caloy, with international name "Chaba," has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Wednesday night as "Domeng," another Tropical Depression, enters the PAR.
State weather bureau PAGASA said TD Caloy is heading towards Southern China with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center.
Like Caloy, TD Domeng is unlikely to make landfall in any part of the country.
In its latest weather bulletin, the center of Domeng was estimated at 950 km East of Basco, Batanes. It has maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h and moving Northward at 20 km/h.
It will bring monsoon rains over the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon.
Persons living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to hazards are advised to follow evacuation and other instructions from local officials.
Domeng is forecast to reach tropical storm category in the next 12 hours and is projected to leave the PAR on Saturday morning or afternoon. (PIA-NCR)
