BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - The Philippine National Police (PNP) here recently initiated a Community Outreach Program to provide assistance and free services to villagers in barangay Canabuan in upland Sta. Fe town.

Provincial Director Police Colonel Ranser Evasco said the Community Outreach Program which was done in celebration of the 27th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month, benefited more than 350 villagers in the barangay.

He said the PNP in partnership with various sectors and agencies distributed grocery items to 75 households, slippers to 292 residents, feeding activity to 350 villagers and giving of 120 loot bags and school supplies to schoolers.

Evasco said the schoolchildren were also given with free haircut while the adults received medical consultation and free medicines, dental extraction and KASIMBAYANAN lectures.

The PNP and its partners also conducted tree planting of guyabano seedlings in the same area.

“This activity aims to bring government services to the community in order to assure the public that there is a government and there are private entities and stakeholders who wanted to share their blessings to the most needy,” Evasco said.

He said the activity showed the strong support of the private sector to the implementation of plans, programs and activities of the PNP for the benefit of peace and progress in various communities.

Evasco said their Community Outreach Program was supported by the Nueva Vizcaya Officers Ladies Club (NVOLC),  NV Women in the Police Service Organization (NVWPSO),  Solonio Pharmacy, Didipio Mines,  Provincial Integrated Health Office (PIHO), Region 2 Trauma Medical Center (R2TMC),  Nueva Vizcaya-Life Coaches and the PNP Provincial Medical and Dental Unit, among others.
