MAASIN CITY (PIA) -- The Provincial Agricultural and Fisheries Council (PAFC) of this province held its sectoral meeting Tuesday, September 20, attended by leaders and members of farmers’ association per municipality.

The gathering tackled updates on agricultural machineries in the province as shared by Gersan Gerong, agricultural technologist, according to a social media post in the province’s FB page.

For the current year, 2022, Gerong reported that interventions will be on agricultural machinery, equipment, and facilities, among other support services.

The provision of machineries included floating tillers, rice threshers, rice cutter harvesters, and portable corn mills.

Rolando Bacoy, Sangguniang Panlalawigan member who is the chairperson of the Committee on Agriculture, was among those who attended the meeting.

“See to it that machineries that will be acquired should be in accordance to the needs and specifications of the intended municipal local government unit recipients,” Bacoy told everyone present in the meeting.  (MMP/PIA Southern Leyte)
