PRO-Cor chief reminds city cops of their primary duties

BAGUIO CITY (PIA) -- Police Regional Office – Cordillera Regional Director Police Brigadier Mafelino Bazar reminded the personnel of the Baguio City Police Office to focus on the primary duties of the police particularly on the prevention and solution of crimes as he reiterated on the “5 minute response” period.  
 

In his Command Visit to the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) last week, Bazar met with the BCPO key officers led by City Director PCol. Glenn Lonogan, commanders of different stations, and PNP support units where he reiterated his guidance on the different programs on maintaining the peace and order situation of the region.
 
He stressed on the improvement of the quick response of police officers when providing assistance to the public highlighting the five-minute response time will mean a big difference in stopping criminals.


This he said can be applicable in the city thru the improvement of the deployment of police personnel in strategic areas.  He added that police officers must be cautious and alert when responding to any incident. 


Bazar also conducted a surprise inspection to the search and rescue equipment of the BCPO to ensure the readiness of the Baguio’s Finest to respond during disasters.  He also visited some of the offices within the BCPO to look into the situation of the men on the ground.


The BCPO also presented significant accomplishments and the peace and order situation of the city of Baguio to the Regional Director.(JDP/RMC- PIA CAR)
