Ayon kay DTI-CAR OIC Regional Director at Regional Bamboo Industry Development Council - CAR Regional Executive Committee chair Juliet Lucas, kabilang sa kanilang strategic goal ay ang pagpapatupad ng proactive advocacy sa kabuuan ng industriya.
 
"Our objective here is to enhance awareness of the people on the significance of bamboo across multiple avenues such as environmental protection, business development, and climate change mitigation," saad ni Lucas.
 
Layunin din nila na magkaroon ng data information management para sa patuloy na pag-update sa kasalukuyang database na kinabibilangan ng inventory ng mga bamboo farmers, processors, key partners, resource speakers, at equipment and machinery suppliers.
 
Sinabi ni Lucas na isasapinal ng DTI-CAR ang inisyal na industry profile batay sa datos mula sa mga stakeholders noong 2021 kung saan, taunan ang pag-update dito.
 
Nais din nila na magkaroon ng community-based enterprises para sa bamboo industry upang mapaunlad ang buhay ng mga kinauukulang komunidad. Sa ngayon ay pito ang community-based enterprises sa rehiyon, apat dito ay nasa Abra.

Aniya, hangarin din nilang magkaroon ng bamboo plantations sa iba't ibang lugar, mahasa ang kakayahan at kaalaman patungkol sa kawayan sa pamamagitan ng capacity building efforts, at maitaguyod at maibenta ang mga produkto mula sa kawayan.
 
Binanggit ni Lucas na ang lalawigan ng Ifugao ang isa sa mga aktibong may plantasyon ng kawayan partikular sa bayan ng Aguinaldo, Lamut, at Kiangan ngunit hindi aniya ito sapat lalo na at maraming gamit ang kawayan.
