ISABELA CITY, Basilan, Sept 30 (PIA) – The local government of Isabela City de Basilan is now encouraging all public and private sector employees to get their COVID-19 booster jabs as an added protection against COVID-19.

The city government through the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman strongly support the national government’s program to increase vaccination rates among Filipinos.

As part of the LGUs efforts, the City Health Office vaccination team visited different offices in the city to administer vaccination to their employees especially those who are already eligible to receive COVID-19 booster jabs.

In a letter signed by Mayor Hataman and send to different offices, the local government urged all offices to work together to end the pandemic and be one step closer to going back to new normal by submitting themselves to vaccination.

“We need additional dose to be protected. The COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective and was given Emergency Use of Authority (EUA) by the Food and Drug Administration,” the letter stated.

Meanwhile, the city government of Isabela City through its demand generation team continuously implements programs and activities like radio and TV advocacies, social media engagements and infosessions to strengthen its efforts in support to Bakunahang Bayan and PinasLakas campaign of the Department of Health.
