Various sectors vow to a revitalized 'KASIMBAYANAN' in WV

ILOILO CITY (PIA) – Backed by various sectors in the region, Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 has launched the revitalized KASIMBAYANAN at the Parade Ground of Camp Delgado on October 10.

Dubbed as “KASIMBAYANAN,” a synergized partnership of Kapulisan, Simbahan, at Pamayanan of PRO 6 aims to promote stronger ties among these sectors in developing a God-centered society for long-lasting peace and progress in the country.

Assistant regional director Maria Calpiza J. Sardua, who represented Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) 6 director Juan Jovian E. Ingeniero thanked and lauded the PRO6 and partner religious organizations for showing their support to the government in maintaining peace and order in the region and in the country.

“Thank you and congratulations PRO6 for spearheading this undertaking and to our partners, our different religious leaders present here for the successful launching of this KASIMBAYANAN. I am looking really at a beautiful life ahead because

everybody is involved, including the cooperation and support of the community. This time, let us work hand in hand towards the maintenance of peace and order,” Sardua said.

From the religious sector, Archdiocese of Jaro, Iloilo United Muslim Community, and Iloilo Baptist Church manifest their support in the implementation of the program by signing in the Pledge of Commitment board by their representatives, namely, Monsignor Meliton B. Oso, Pastor Richard Lee Martin, Sr., Ustadsz Jerry Macala, and Winefredo “Ka Winnie” Doblizo Jr.

“From regional DILG, rest-assured that we will be giving you our full support. Let us help one another to reach the goals of this program. Altogether, let us all live in a peaceful, organized, and progressive country. Life is beautiful. Your dream is also our dream,” she added.

The KASIMBAYANAN is a community

mobilization program, highlighting the synergized and collaborative partnership between the PNP and the general public through the intervention and help of the religious sector towards the goal of a holistic transformation that involves the PNP and the community it serves and protects.

The program provides an interplay among three important sectors by transforming the PNP members as community-based bridge builders to increase community involvement in pre-empting, preventing, and solving crimes. (JBG/April Grace Padilla/PIA6)
