BONTOC, Mountain Province(PIA)--The Mountain Province Police Provincial Office (MPPO) continues to launch the Revitalized KASIMBAYANAN (Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan) program in the different municipalities in the province for strong partnership and collaboration among the different sectors of society for peaceful and orderly community.
Last October 17, the MPPO successfully launched in Besao and Barlig the KASIMBAYANAN program which aims to strengthen relationship among the PNP, the church and the community and instill the significance of shared responsibility in contributing for peace, order, progress and holistic transformation of the society.
Highlights of the activity included the pledge of commitment, ceremonial signing and pinning of the KASIMBAYAN button to the PNP personnel as part of their uniform. The pin accordingly symbolizes the commitment, collaboration and unending unity of police, community and religious sector.
Provincial OIC Director PCOL Rey A. de Peralta, in his speech in Barlig, reaffirmed the PNP’s commitment to fostering genuine peace and expressed gratitude to the local government officials, community and other sectors for their support to the programs and activities of the PNP as he urged them to continue their support, cooperation and concern to help prevent trouble and criminality in the community and to further enhance police- community relations.
Barlig Mayor Clark C. Ngaya enjoined everyone to cooperate with the PNP in implementing the said program as the police force cannot effectively discharge its duties and responsibilities without the active participation of the community.
Aside from the municipalities of Barlig and Besao, Bontoc, and Paracelis have succesfully launched and adopted the KASIMBAYANAN program, which is anchored on “Malasakit, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan Tungo sa Kaunlaran (MKK=K)” program of PNP Chief Lt. Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. (JDP/VJLT-PIA CAR)
