CALOOCAN CITY, (PIA)-- President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is set to speak before the Philippine business community at the 48th Philippine Business Conference & Expo on Thursday.
The two-day event being held October 19-20 at the Grand Ballroom of the historic Manila Hotel, is a gathering of over a thousand delegates from across the country and overseas who intend to listen to the policy pronouncements of President Marcos, specifically on the government plans and priorities toward moving the country forward and sustaining economic growth.
PCCI Vice President Ferdinand "Perry" Ferrer, in a statement said they will also submit to the President a set of policy resolutions that capture the collective aspirations and expectations of the Philippine business community to the new administration as it steers the direction of the Philippine economy rebounding from the pandemic.
Most of the Cabinet secretaries will also be at the two-day event. Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno, National Economic Development Authority Secretary Arsenio Balisacan, Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr., Anti-Red Tape Authority officer-in-charge Undersecretary Ernesto Perez, Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco, Trade and Industry Secretary Alfredo Pascual, Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga, and Vice President Sarah Duterte were slotted on the first day of the conference.
Meanwhile, Transportation and Railways Secretary Jaime Bautista, Public Works and Highways-Planning and Public-Private Partnership Services Undersecretary Maria Catalina Cabral, Information and Communications Technology Secretary Ivan Uy, Science and Technology Secretary Renato Solidum, and Philippine Space Agency Director-General Dr. Joel Joseph Marciano Jr. will be the officials featured on the second day which will culminate on President Marcos' closing remarks.
