LAMUT, Ifugao (PIA) - - Governor Jerry Dalipog issued yesterday an executive order providing guidelines for the observance the 2022 “Undas” in the province.
Dalipog stated that it is necessary to implement Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) measures and health protocols for the observance of the traditions and practices during the All Saint’s Day on November 1.
Minimum public health standards intended to effectively prevent and minimize the spread of COVID-19 shall continue to be implemented. Wearing of face mask shall be voluntary in open spaces and non-crowded places with ventilation, however, individuals who are not fully vaccinated and immunocompromised individuals are highly encouraged to wear masks. Bringing of sanitizers is highly encouraged
Observe physical distancing at all times. Persons exhibiting flu-like symptoms are discouraged to visit cemeteries.
Local chief executives of the municipalities are given the discretion to formulate and implement schedule of cemetery visits for their barangays including non-residents.
Visits to public and private cemeteries will not be limited, however, management of private cemeteries are encouraged to implement health protocols in coordination with the provincial and municipal health offices.
Opening of “Undas” activities starts at 6:00 in the morning and ends at 9:00 in the evening of October 31 to November 1, 2022. However, management of private cemeteries may implement different operating hours.
Conduct of picnics and similar activities that tend to unnecessarily lengthen the visits are discouraged. All visitors must observe proper waste disposal and staying overnight is prohibited.
Playing loud music or karaoke, gambling, bringing alcoholic drinks and pointed objects, firearms, explosives and firecrackers are strictly prohibited.
Concerned agencies of all municipalities are required to set-up medical tents at the entrances of all cemeteries with medical teams to conduct temperature checks and respond to any emergency situation.
Earlier, the Provincial Disaster Provincial Risk Management Council Emergency Operation Center was activated to “Blue Alert” status. (MBL, PIA CAR, Ifugao)
