CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga (PIA) - - Around 1,700 households are eligible candidates for graduation or subject for delisting from the government’s anti-poverty program in the province as a result of improved living standard from survival to subsistence status.
This was reported by the Department of Social Welfare and Development during the 2nd Semester meeting of the Provincial Advisory Council (PAC) of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program on November 10 at the Capitol.
Geraldine Toyoken of DSWD-SWAD reported they have completed the validation of the 5,884 households (HH) tagged as Non-Poor based on the Listahanan 3 last October 15, 2022. “Of the 5,851 validated households, 1,700 are eligible for graduation or to be delisted from the 4Ps program,” she said.
Toyoken said they have also completed the administration of Social Welfare and Development Indicator (SWDI) forms to 6,302 HH out of the 10,553. Validation of 1800 HHs tagged and matched as non-poor (batch 2) has also started and deadline is end of this month, she added.
Meanwhile, the PAC chaired by Gov. James Edduba, approved two resolutions towards perfecting compliance of beneficiaries to 4Ps program conditions, and for transparency and anomaly-free process of implementation. These were endorsed to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for the enactment of legislative measures. (JDP/PAB-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
