Isabela, Cagayan receive donations from Taiwan to rehab Paeng's damages

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - The provincial governments of Isabela and Cagayan have recently received US$200,000 donation each from Taiwan Government for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Typhoon Paeng's damages. 

Manila Economic and Culture Office (MECO) Chairman and Resident Representative Silvestre H. Bebot III led the turn-over of the donation together with Taiwan Representatives to the Philippines Eric Lim and Obyashi Oshimune.

The check amounting to US$200,000 was received by Isabela Gov. Rodolfo Albano III held at Balai, Capitol Compound, City of Ilagan last November 19, 2022 while another US$200,000 was also donated to the province of Cagayan received by Gov. Manuel Mamba.

Gov. Albano expressed his gratitude to MECO Chairman Silvestre Bello III for the unending support to Isabeleños as MECO chairman and even as former labor secretary under the Duterte administration.

“Salamat Manong Bebot sa biyayang dinala mo sa amin. Kahit hindi na ikaw ang Secretary ng DOLE, pero walang tigil at diyan pa rin kayo. Nilalagay kayo ng Diyos kung saan kayo makakatulong sa lahat.’ (Thank you Manong Bebot for the blessings you continuously giving us. Even if you’re not anymore the DOLE chief, you still continue helping us).
